Democracy and the Welfare State

The Nordic countries are world-famous for their universal welfare states which include social security for all citizens. Nevertheless, there are issues to be addressed. Education in a changing world, pension systems in an aging society and ongoing privatisation of public services are just some of the topics that are being discussed.
