Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is the oldest German Political (non-profit) Foundation. We are a social democrat leaning think tank, and our Regional Office for the Nordic Countries is based in Stockholm. From there we work with all five Nordic Countries and Germany to foster social cohesion, resilient democracies, modern carbon free digital economies, decent labour markets and overall peace and security in Europe. Through our innovative research, policy advice, meetings and debates we contribute to international cooperation and aim for a more equitable and democratic society that benefits ordinary people. At FES Nordics you will be part of a huge organizational network with over 100 offices worldwide, in Berlin and the rest of Germany. In our Nordic office you will be part of an experienced international team where quality, collaboration and innovation are in focus. The team consists of three policy advisors, a finance officer and our director Kristina Birke Daniels – to whom you will report directly. In your role you will:Balance planned pre-production with urgent incoming requests in a fast-paced environmentOffer office & event support: manage admin and budgetary tasks as well as calendars and supervise event logisticsCoordinate travel management (arrange itineraries, accommodations, and expense reportingSet online editorial priorities according to FES’s strategy; prepare newsletters and mailings to publicize reports and digital materialPlan, create, edit and publish our social media posts (possibly including graphics, short videos & audio) that reflect our corporate identityOversee the team’s content‑creation workflow in order to ensure a coherent, engaging social‑media presence across all platformsWe are looking for someone who has:Great teamworking skillsA structured and proactive approach to administrative tasksA good sense of making online editorial decisions based on digital trends and algorithms in combination with value-based communicationExperience with Canva. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud/InDesign is an asset, as is experience working with external designers and coordinating the production of designed materialsStrong skills in managing digital communication channels, including social media platforms and newslettersGood ability to handle multiple tasks in parallelA big interest in social democrat and progressive politics and diplomacyRequirements:A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldMinimum of two years’ experience related to media and/or event managementLanguage requirements: fluent in English and one Nordic language; German is a definite plusExperience in managing content through CMS platforms and basic knowledge of digital creation.
